Wild Card Thoughts: Nostalgic-y Detour trip Down Memory Lane
Half a dollar chicken from the Freeport zone,
Foreigners in my mother land,
Chinese garter, knotted rubber, street games, jackstones, flip flops and a tin can,
Joyride with our freshly bought second hand car
Dad drives the van as we Sing to Sandy Patti songs,
From side A to side B, everyone could just sing and tag along,
Three lil' heads eating a kilo of mangoe in front of the TV,
Mom's less worried, cause we got enough C's to keep us from any allergy,
General cleaning on a lazy weekend,
But end up with a vampire slayer marathon,
Roswell or whatever is on,
TV can (sometimes) be a reliable friend,
When stubbornness starts to be endless,
Say Hi to Mr. brown leather belt, once unbuckled and folded,
Stand straight, close your eyes and hope for the best,
When it hits you, it sure feels like the worst test,
First bruise on the pavement street,
Roller blading until you can’t feel a thing,
First few centavos to buy candies from the corner store,
Paying them to rot my two front teeth,
Play mom, doctor, clerk, teacher, sales man, sailor moon or power ranger yellow,
All these things are sure highlights, but may seem shallow,
Find a friend, a pet, or something to hold on to and loose them growing up,
Rebuild friendships, meet new souls, loose 'em again, it never stops,
Body changes, different realities, understanding ideologies,
Sepia flashbacks from the start of existence, guess they are meant to be relived,
So much had happened in a short period of time,
But so much is yet to happen for the rest of this lifetime,
The random firsts makes me think that
Life is short, savor moments inside the realm in what we call Reality,
Who knows you'll find rare possibilities,
So Try not to get caught up with all the world's scares,
Everyone was once there, don't worry these things you can bear,
Just do what you can do, that's what I can share,
And let GOD be a friend when you start to feel like life isn't fair.
